With 17 clinics and institutions the DIAKO is one of the largest hospitals in the northern part of Germany, Schleswig-Holstein. About 45.000 patients are treated yearly. Some of them come from Norway and Denmark. This cross-border collaboration and participation in innovative European eHealth projects gives the DIAKO a rather substantial experience in international collaboration. The DIAKO might be interested in various types of future eHealth collaborations - not least within radiology and cardiology.

The DIAKO is already connected to the Baltic Healthcare Network (BHN).
